Flightpath was founded in 1993 by Jon Fox as X Communications, NYC Inc. in the early era of internet service and technology. The company focused primarily on website production for clients. In 2000, the company was renamed Xworld, and creative director Steven Louie joined the company as principal. Xworld was a website production agency from 2000, and in 2007 was renamed [1] Flightpath, and continues in website production and has expanded into a consultative and advisory digital-marketing agency.[1]
Flightpath provides marketing services like website design and development, social media services, search engine marketing, search engine optimization and e-mail marketing. Its clients includes Schering-Plough, AOL, Goya Foods, The New Yorker, Tishman Realty & Construction, and Jewish Federations of North America.[1]
Flightpath produces a website called Digital Insight that reports digital marketing trends. Users can download white papers and reports, view presentations and contact the agency with their questions. In 2009, Flightpath began the New York Social Media Round Table (NYSMRT) series at The Center in New York City. These events feature a panel of social media professionals. Past events have focused on Social Media in the Travel Industry, Social Currency & Social Media and Social Media for Non-Profits. These events are free for the general public.[2]
