FlexiCapture

ABBYY FlexiCapture is data and document capture software developed by ABBYY, that automatically converts documents into electronic form. It was named as one of the trend-setting products in 2007 and 2010 by KMWorld Magazine.^[1][2]

Document Manager Magazine said about FlexiCapture, "In the last couple of years there has been a distinct shift in focus toward offering business solutions aimed at optimising paper-based processes, and it is here that the latest version of the FlexiCapture platform excels."^[3]

Versions and Architecture

FlexiCapture 10 Standalone

A desktop version for small- to medium-sized businesses or departmental tasks. It runs all processes, from document import to data export, on a single machine.

FlexiCapture 10 Distributed

A version with a client-server architecture intended for large enterprises, BPOs or government projects. It includes a set of dedicated server components for data processing and multiple operator stations for each step in the data capture process such as setup, administration, scanning, verification and monitoring.^[4]
