Flexford is a hamlet, in the parish of Normandy in the borough of Guildford in Surrey, England. It has a population of 1,163.[1] Flexford is part of one of two wards that are within the Guildford borough but are represented by the Member of Parliament for Woking.
Flexford was once called Flaxford, itself a corruption of "flax vard", meaning flax meadows by a stream.[2] The ancient industry here was the creation of linen from flax.[2]
