Ferussaciidae is a family of air-breathing land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Achatinoidea.[3]

This family has no subfamilies.[3] Name Ferussaciidae is younger but has been declared as a nomen protectum and Cecilioididae has been declared as a nomen oblitum, because it has not been used for more than last 100 years.[3]

Distribution

Distribution of Ferussaciidae include from Africa to Europe and Near East, tropical Americas, Hawaii and tropical Asia.[1]

Anatomy

In this family, the number of haploid chromosomes lies between 26 and 30 (according to the values in this table).[4]
