Ferris Wheel on Fire
Ferris Wheel on Fire is the second EP by American psych folk band Neutral Milk Hotel, released as part of their Walking Wall of Words compilation package on December 12, 2011. The EP contains several unreleased songs (Oh Sister, Ferris Wheel on Fire, Home, I Will Bury You in Time, and My Dreamgirl Don't Exist), and three songs that have been released on other albums (Engine and A Baby For Pree/Glow Into You). Engine originally appeared on the Holland, 1945 7" single while "April 8th" and "A Baby For Pree" both appeared on the 1996 album On Avery Island. All three are alternative versions from their originals and it should be noted that "A Baby For Pree/Glow Into You" contains an additional section that wasn't originally featured on On Avery Island. This was Jeff Mangum's first example of grounding himself in the melodic acoustic scene that he became known for in his later work, and includes many fan and friend favorites of his. This is also the first recording or set of recordings that featured an "official" member of Neutral Milk Hotel, Julian Koster [1]
