Farad, California

Farad is a former settlement in Nevada County, California.[1] Farad is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad, 1 mile (1.6 km) south-southwest of Mystic.[1] It still appeared on maps as of 1955.[1] A powerhouse was located nearby; farad is a unit of electrical capacitance.[1]
