The Fair Haven Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in prekindergarten through eighth grade from Fair Haven, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.
As of the 2008-09 school year, the district's two schools had an enrollment of 980 students and 74.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.1.[1]
The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]
Students in public school for grades 9-12 attend Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, together with students from Rumson.[4] As of the 2008-09 school year, the Rumson-based high school had an enrollment of 973 students.[5]
