FEMS, the Federation of European Microbiological Societies is an international European scientific organization, formed by the union of a number of national organizations; there are now 50 members, regular and provisional. [1]

It is the sponsor of FEMS Microbiology, originally a single journal, but now a group of 5 titles:

Originally published for the Society by Elsevier, they are now published by Wiley-Blackwell [2]
