Extravergine (aka: Extravergine:A Mediterranean Christmas) is the fourth solo studio album and first holiday album released by Italian-born Canadian tenor, Micheal Castaldo. It was released on November 15, 2011. The album, includes 12 Christmas songs which are mostly sung in Italian.[1][2]. The album also include the Italian classics, "Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle," the Latin version of "Adeste Fideles," and the Polish carol, "Jezus Malusienki" translated into Italian by Castaldo, himself[3]. The album peaked #1 on Amazon.com's pre-ordering charts on November 1st, 2011.[4]
