Today Exmorra does not include shops, butcher or baker, but in the '60s Exmorra had several shops and businesses. In winter there is a skating rink where you can ice skate. There are many things changed over the years, the lake of Makkum and the lake of Parrega are pumped empty, but the most important thing of the village is that there is a christian primary school. In Exmorra you also find a grocer shop/ candy shop from 1885. Behind this historic building once was a village school established. The living rooms beside and behind the shop are furnished in old style. All the way back in the building is a shoemakers workshop. You can also find a dealership, a dolly shop, and a sport field.
