Exclusively for My Friends is a 1992 CD box set by Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson.
Originally released on MPS Records, this four-CD, 36-song box set was released by Island Records in 1992. It includes Peterson's 1968 albums Girl Talk (album), The Way I Really Play, My Favorite Instrument, Mellow Mood and Travelin' On, as originally recorded for MPS. The set includes performances with his most well-known trio consisting of double bassist Ray Brown and drummer Ed Thigpen and also teams him with bassist Sam Jones and drummers Louis Hayes or Bobby Durham.
MPS has also released an eight volume CD set from the same period called Exclusively for My Friends as well as Polygram Records releasing Exclusively for My Friends: The Lost Tapes which includes twelve previously un-released tracks.
As of 2008[update], the constituent albums are available as individual CDs.[2] The Penguin Guide to Jazz includes these albums in its selected "Core Collection."[2]
