Early life

Piporro was born Eulalio González Ramírez in the provincial town of Los Herrera, Nuevo León approximately 50 miles east of Monterrey, to Pablo González Barrera, a Mexican customs agent, and his wife Elvira Ramírez. During his early infancy, González's father had to work in various towns across the northern border of Mexico, one of them being Río Bravo, Tamaulipas. This caused the family to relocated several times to different populations. He was known as a witty, young boy.

He studied both medicine and accounting, although he never worked as any of those professions.

Career

By the early 1950s, Eulalio González was already working as a radio announcer, and during the time was noted by popular film actor-singer Pedro Infante who invited González to participate in the radio-novela, Martín Corona. González accepted the role of "Piporro", an elderly comical norteño who served as the sidekick of Infante's character "Martín Corona". With the success of the radio-novela, Infante and González reprised their roles in the film Ahí viene Martín Corona (1952), with Sara Montiel.

Up to that point, his career began to rise and Piporro later portrayed similar roles as a comic side-kick of Fernando Casanova in his El aguila negra film series. and reached its point in the 1960s. As Piporro grew older, his character roles increased.

Death

On August 31, 2003; Eulalio González was invited to an event in honor of composer Manuel Esperón. He was also chosen to be the guest speaker at the event, but he chose to fly back to his home in San Pedro Garza García, suburb of Monterrey.
