Eucalypse is an album from the noise artist Merzbow. The album is presented in a hand-crafted round wooden box with screen printed swiveling lid. The box contains one CD and four round, full-color cards. Only 1000 copies of this CD have been made, and there will be no follow-up editions released on the future.[1]

The name of the album refers to 2 words combined Apocalypse and Eucalyptus and refers to the time when the Eucalyptus Globulus was first brought to India (where the wooden box was made) late 18th century. Large plantations were establish in Kerala in 1863, but other than small amounts of oil distilling, little use has been made of the fast growing trees. Instead, they have thrived in the moist, foggy hills, spreading far across the landscape and transforming the ecosystem in the process. Depriving native species of the moisture necessary to survive the annual dry season. Merzbow as a PETA activist, try to make a stand by cutting the trees that have changed the ecosystem of the region.[1]
