The famous festival of Ethanur is Kummati which occurs in the 3rd Thursday of meena maasam, generally during March. This is a festival conducted jointly by "Maruthi Kavu temple" and "Thiruvilyanadu Bagavathi temple"(both temples were recently renovated). The Village is geographically divided into two Ethanur West and Ethanur East.
