Estosadok

Estosadok, sometimes spelled Esto-Sadok or Estosadoc (Russian: Э́стосадо́к or Э́сто-Садо́к; Estonian: Eesti Aiake, lit. Little Estonian Garden) is a village (selo) under the jurisdiction of Adlersky City District of Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It is located on the Mzymta River, 4 kilometers (2.5 mi) upstream from Krasnaya Polyana.

The settlement was founded in 1886 by thirty-six Estonian families who arrived on August 21, 1886 to Krasnaya Polyana to render habitable the lands formerly settled by Sadz. The population of Estosadok is roughly 400 people.[1]

There are the ruins of a Circassian fort and the memorial house of the Estonian writer Anton Tammsaare. It is the location of the alpine ski resort Alpika-Service. A railway station of Sochi Light Metro is planned to connect this area with Sochi International Airport, Sochi Olympic Village and the downtown of Sochi.
