The butterfly was previously classified as Thecla bieti De Nicéville.[3]
The butterfly occurs in India from Kulu to Garhwal, Sikkim to Bhutan.[3] Also Tibet and North West Yunnan.[1]
Rare. Very Rare in Kumaon.[3]
