Envizions was incorporated on August 4, 2004.[1] It was founded by a businessman called Derrick Samuels, who is still the CEO and the chairman of the company.
They first had a store selling products and accessories for PCs. In late 2006, they developed a game console, called the EVO Smart Console. In January 8, 2011, Envizions announced that they will release a successor to the EVO Smart Console, called the EVO 2.[2] Details and specifications of the console came in the press in May and June 2011. They are still developing the console and will be released in 2012 in the USA. Elsewhere in the world, it will be released later.
At the same time, Envizions have released GameBox, which is a online storage platform which stores game data and profiles in the cloud. The EVO 2 console will come with a built-in GameBox storage device for back-up.
As part of the EVO 2, Envizions is also acting as a charity to help American families who live in poverty. Envizions aims to raise money by selling EVO 2's. By every EVO 2 console sold, an underpriviliged child and his/her family will get a free EVO 2 console, along with Christmas cards, so that the poor families will have a happy Christmas. Envizions aims to give 4,000 EVO 2's away to the poor, and also to give 1 million worldwide.[3]
