Envirolink Northwest is an organisation which exists to promote, strengthen and support the Low Carbon and Environmental Goods and Services (LCEGS) sector in England's Northwest. Envirolink hosts a network of over 1500 companies based in the region related to the environment.[1] Envirolink is supported by the Northwest Development Agency. Envirolink Northwest stimulates the market for innovative products and services and in the last three years alone has assisted over 3,500 businesses in the region. Helping businesses to commercialise and promote themselves in the sector, Envirolink Northwest endeavors to create an environment in which individual companies can thrive and one where the competitiveness of the sector can improve.
A not profit organisation, Envirolink Northwest is a programme delivery body receiving funding from a number of public and private sector bodies. Working on programmes such as the Rural Carbon Challenge Fund and the Irish Sea Conservation Zone.
Envirolink Northwest is centrally located in the North West region with a talented team who are ideally placed to service the region and the wider UK. Major investment in the capabilities of the entire team has resulted in a pool of knowledge and talent that brings exceptional technical expertise, market research, funding specialism and marketing to the companies it serves.
To support growth and support to the LCEGS sector, Envirolink Northwest has delivered significant outcomes over the last three years that have resulted in the creation of over 450 jobs, the safeguarding of over 1300 jobs. The combined figure from cost savings, increased turnover and invested funds in regional businesses Envirolink Northwest has contributed over £500m as a result of the support provided.
Between 2007 and 2010 the Envirolink Northwest delivered a comprehensive events programme and can boast 150 individual events ranging from ‘meet the buyer’ to funding clinics. Over 400 delegates in total in attendance the regions flagship conference and exhibition managed by Envirolink Northwest, Envirenergy North West.
