The Township of Emily was a municipality located in the south-eastern corner of the former Victoria County, now the city of Kawartha Lakes, in Ontario, Canada.
Emily Township is also home to Emily Provincial Park.
Due to mismanagement of their landfill site, Emily Township was responsible for requesting the commissioner who eventually ordered the undesired amalgamation of the former County of Victoria municipalities, despite all other townships voting against the request. Ontario law was changed following the amalgamation so that a low-tier municipality could no longer set forth a government restructuring.[1]
