Embassy of the United States, Islamabad

The Embassy of the United States in Islamabad is the diplomatic mission of the United States in Pakistan. Ambassador Cameron Munter is currently the Chief of Mission, as of October 6, 2010.[1] The embassy was burned to the ground in 1979 by Muslim extremists. The embassy building is occupied by the United States Ambassador to Pakistan.

The U.S. Department of State also maintains Consulates in Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi.[2]
