Vâlcele (Hungarian: Előpatak, Hungarian pronunciation: [’ɛløːpɒtɒk]) is a commune in Covasna County, Transylvania, Romania composed of four villages:
The commune has an ethnically mixed population. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 3,698 of which 48.08% or 1,778 are Roma, 36.7% or 691 are Romanians and 14.95% or 553 are Székely Hungarians.
