Ellnor Judith Grassby is an Australian politician and was a member of the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly, elected to the multi-member single constituency Assembly representing the Labor Party. Grassby was initially elected the first ACT Legislative Assembly in 1989, and re-elected to the second Assembly in 1992.[1] Grassby served as Minister for Urban Services in the Follett government. Grassby contested the multi-member electorate of Ginninderra at the 1995 ACT general election, however was unsuccessful in retaining her seat.[2]
Grassby is the widow of Al Grassby, AM.[3]
During 2003 - 2005, Grassby served on the Chief Minister’s Ministerial Advisory Council on Multicultural Affairs.[4]
She was a Board member of Naming Australia Incorporated, a community organisation comprising representatives from the Spanish community, the Embassy of Spain in Australia, the business community and the ACT government who organisated celebrations for the 400th anniversary, in 2006, of Spanish contribution to the history and naming of Australia.[5]
