Ellen M. Barry (born 1955) is an American attorney, and public interest lawyer.[1] She was a 1998 MacArthur Fellow.[2]
She grew up in Somerville, Massachusetts. She graduated from Swarthmore College, and New York University Law School
She started Legal Services for Prisoners with Children, in 1978.[3] She helped organize the National Network for Women in Prison, and Critical Resistance.[4]
