The last parliamentary elections were held on 5 July 2006. The winner was the coalition led by the VMRO-DPMNE. The territory of the Republic of Macedonia is divided in six electoral constituencies and each one elects twenty members of the parliament. With the changes of the electoral law three new constituencies were formed: Europe & Africa, South & North America and Australia & Asia.[1] In these constituencies Macedonian diaspora votes and elects three members of the parliament.
