Geography

Elampillai is located at .[1] It has an average elevation of 257 metres (843 feet). In the Easternside of the town about 3 km away the Kanjamalai hill is located. It is famous for Iron ore containing Banded Magentite Quartzite rocks. Elampillai is a greatest place to develop the textile, So they called 'Kutti Japan'.
