Edwin Benson

Edwin Benson (Ma-doke-wa-des-she, Iron Bison)^[1] is the last speaker of the Mandan language. He was born in 1931 on the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota.^[2] He has been involved in efforts to teach the basics of Mandan to youth.^[1]
