Edward Joseph Hanson (1878-1950)[1] represented the Queensland state electorate of Buranda from 1924 - 1947, and was the Speaker of the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 8 August 1939 until 31 July 1944.[2] He also served in the Second Boer War in 1900.[3]
