Eddlewood is a residential area in the south of Hamilton, Scotland. It consists mainly of local authority housing, but there are numerous private housing estates with re-generation bringing new builds of private housing from 1990, including Avongrove.
The area is home to the Eddlewood Sports Barn and a separate Public Hall.
Eddlewood has one school, the denominational St. Elizabeth's Primary School; the school is Fairtrade thanks to a teacher Christine Emmett. Most secondary school children in the area attend Holy Cross High School or Hamilton Grammar School. Eddlewood contains an average restaurant- John Carrigan's Eating House (which also has "The Big Man's" pub attached) - a public hall, four convenience stores, two hairdressers, a butcher, an alterationist and curtain maker.
