Echevarria or Echevarría are Spanish spellings for the Basque surname and placename Etxebarria ("the new house") corresponding to Standard Basque Etxeberria. This spelling represents the branch of the family which originated in Biscay, as opposed to other variations such as "Echeverria" and "Etcheverry."
