Easynet Global Services are a provider of managed network, hosting and telepresence solutions for businesses and enterprises worldwide.
Founded in 1994, Easynet Global Services are part of the Easynet group of companies, along with Easynet Connect and UK Online.
It was a part of BSkyB, a FTSE top 50 company. BSkyB acquired the Easynet group of companies in January 2006.
On 21 July 2010, British Sky Broadcasting reached an agreement over the proposed sale of Easynet Global Services, to Lloyds Development Capital (LDC), a leading UK private equity company fully funded by the Lloyds Banking Group.[1] LDC will pay Sky £100 million for the business on completion of the transaction, subject to regulatory approval and a works council consultation in respect of certain Easynet employees. Sky will retain the UK network assets that it acquired as part of the original acquisition of Easynet Group in 2005. As part of the proposed sale, Sky and LDC will enter into a long-term supply agreement to grant Easynet Global Services continued access to Sky's fibre network. Easynet retains all of its international network and data centre assets, as well as the core IP infrastructure and network management functions. The sale was completed on 3 September 2010.[2]
The company is headquartered in London, United Kingdom, and has offices throughout Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US.
