The East of England appeared in 5 first-class matches between 1892 and 1948.[1] Their first-class debut in 1892 came against the West in the inagural East v West fixture which was held at the United Services Recreation Ground in Portsmouth on 6, 7 and 8 September.[2] Their final appearance in first-class cricket came against the West in 1948. They played their 5 first-class appearances against the West 4 times and the touring New Zealanders once in 1927.
