East Lyme High School is a high school located in the Flanders region of East Lyme, Connecticut. The school is operated by the East Lyme Schools district. The mascot is Sven the Viking. Students from the town of Salem, Connecticut in grades 9 through 12 attend high school in East Lyme (as they have no high school of their own); this will be the case until at least 2016 when the current co-op agreement between the two towns expires.
In addition to the courses offered and taught by the faculty, East Lyme High School encourages academic progress and has joint cooperative programs with the Three Rivers Community College, Connecticut College, and The University of Connecticut.[1] The high school has been previously accredited by the New England Association for Schools and Colleges. Reevaluation for accreditation is being scheduled for November 2010.
