An EMD GP39 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between June 1969 and July 1970. Power was provided by a turbocharged EMD 645E3 12-cylinder engine which generated 2300 horsepower (1.7 MW).[1][2]
