EE Times (Electronic Engineering Times) [1] is an electronics industry newspaper published in the USA by UBM Electronics, a division of United Business Media. Launched in 1972 by Gerard G. Leeds of CMP Publishing. CMP was acquired by United in 1999. For more than thirty years, EE Times has been the electronics industry newspaper of record for design and development engineers and technical managers. At its peak, EE Times employed a total of 30 editors, with a readership of 141,100 persons employed in engineering and technical industries the largest Electronics circulation in North America.

After the turn of the millennium, with the rise of Internet publishing and under new ownership after sale of CMP Media by the Leeds family in 1999 for over $900 million to United Business Media, EE Times moved more into web publishing. The shift in advertising from print to online began to accelerate in 2007 and EE Times shed staff to adjust to the downturn in revenue.

EE Times is free for qualified design engineers, managers and business and corporate management in the electronics industry. It is also available online, the EE Times website offers news, columns, and features articles for semiconductor manufacturing, communications, electronic design automation, electronic engineering, technology, and products. EE Times online offers design and engineering resources for engineers and engineering managers involved in the electronics sector and provides users with a host of education resources, which range from webinars to online courses to a research library of white papers. In July 2010 EE Times relaunched eetimes.com bring together all of the web sites associated with EE Times including embedded.com and Techonline.com under one integrated site and launched the industry's first social media and networking site "EE Life" within eetimes.com.

EE Times remains a global source for news, design and product information with editions both in print and online in Europe, Asia and Japan.
