EDAG Engineering + Design AG is a German firm founded 1969 in Groß-Zimmern by Horst Eckard as eckard design. The headquarters are located in Fulda, Germany. EDAG's affiliate, ELAN GmbH, is represented in the Aerospace industry with comprehensive development services (Conception, Construction and Simulation, as well as Documentation) and project management. ELAN offers development services and project management for aircraft structure and the aircraft cabin, for systems and system integration. The entire process chain from the initial concept through to design and verification of completely certifiable aircraft components is covered by ELAN. ELAN is certified to EN 9100[1] with comprehensive process and quality management.

ELAN supports customer's product development to a partial degree or accepts entrepreneurial development responsibility as a value adding partner. As a project integrator ELAN assumes central steering functions, coordinating development service providers and suppliers along the supply chain, also on an international scale. Concept Cars and Prototypes

LCOS

Edag Light Car - Open Source (LCOS)[2], uses Protean Electric[3] wheel hub motors, powered by 180 Gaia[4] battery cells featuring lithium iron phosphate technology, with a maximum range of 150 kilometers (93 mi) and a top speed of 140 km/h (87 mph). Using the charger developed by EDAG and a charging rate of 10 kW, recharging takes approximately 2 hours[5]
