Dunkwa On Offin is the capital of the Upper Denkyira East Municipal District in the Central Region of Ghana. The town has about 26,275 inhabitants as at the end of the 2000 census.[1]
The town is located on the Offin River.
The main ethnic composition is the Denkyira who are Akan people.[2] The town is ruled by Denkyirahene. The current Denkyirahene was installed in 1955. He is Odeefuo Boa Amponsem III.[2]
