Dpercussion was a music festival held yearly between 1997 and 2007 in Manchester. It was originally called Repercussion when it was set up as a response to the 1996 IRA bomb. For the first 8 years the festival was free, and a voluntary donation system was set up in the 9th year. However, due to mounting costs the organisers could no longer continue the festival.
The 10th and final Dpercussion was held on August 4, 2007, at Castlefield Arena in the Castlefield area of Manchester. This was the first year where there was a compulsory entry fee.
Organisers Ear to the Ground went on to jointly set up the new city centre festival; Parklife which has run since 2010,
