Dora (name)

Dora is a female name of Greek origin, derived from Dorothea or Theodora,[1] meaning "God's Gift", from "δῶρον" (doron), "gift"[2] + "θεός" (theos), "god".[3] The earliest form of the word is the Mycenaean Greek do-ra, meaning "gift", written in Linear B syllabic script. [4]
