RIND, AND LASHAR are two main tribes from which all Baloch came into being. From the very era of Mir Chakar Rind , Dombki are known as the office of whole Baloch tribe. According to Dombkis their tribe's name as taken from the sea namely "Darya-e-Dombak" which is located in western Balochistan (now in Iran). Their forefathers belonged here and migrated to Lahri and other districts of Pakistan.

Molayi Sheedi also supports the view that Dombkis have migrated from the Area of Dombak (makran) to the region of Lahri (Tehsil of Distt Sibbi). Ghulam Sarwar Khan Dombki supports this very view and tells that the valley of Dombak is located in Iran (ancient western Balochistan) and the people who had lived there were known as Dombki.

Even Mir Gul Khan Nasir writes "there as Stream let in Iran which is called "Dombak". This Clan (Dombki) choose this Stream-let as their home for this reason they were named Dombki.

There are four major Clans of the Dombki: Mirozaee ميروزهى, wazeeraniوزيرانى , Brahmani براهماني, and Muhmdani مهمداني and clans are Baghdar, Jaroi, Denari, Derkhani, Gabol, Ghaziani, Gashkori, Gorgez,[sial] Khosa, Lashari, Muhammadani, singiani, Shaff khor, Almani, Talani, Giloee and others.

Historical background

Malik Meeran & Malik Mir Rehan were cousins of Chakar-E-Azam & his faithful commanders.

It is a very famous historical incident that when Chakar was prepared to fought a battle against Mir Gawhram Khan Lashari, at that time Chakar's mother forbid Chakar to fight against Lasharis but Chakar did not accept to step back from his decision then his mother told him that

"You are proud on your brave commanders and cousins but let me see your cousins after the battle"

Coincidentally these both cousins and brave commanders were martyred by Lasharis in battle. Lashari cut the throat of Malik Meeran, took it back to their women, and showed them with order to give birth such braves.

When Dombkis defeated the Lasharis, Dombki's built a town 6 miles away from "Bhaag" city and name it "Fatehpur", whose ruins can still be seen & are famous by the name of "Baam-E-Chakar".
