Dokka Manikya Vara Prasada Rao (born 5 March 1962) is an Indian politician and legislator. He belongs to the Indian National Congress.[1] He is an MLA from Tadikonda constituency.

Manikya Vara Prasad was born in Dalit, Madiga family in Guntur district to Deva Bhiksham and Lalamma. He did his B.Sc. and L.L.M.
Manikya Vara Prasad won as an MLA in 2009 elections. He is Secondary Education Minister in the present cabinet of Government of Andhra Pradesh.
