Dimorphognathus africanus is a species of frog in the Petropedetidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Dimorphognathus. It is found in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, possibly Angola, possibly Democratic Republic of the Congo, and possibly Nigeria. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
