Didius

Didius was a nomen (see Roman naming conventions) of Ancient Rome. The gens Didia was of plebeian status. Notable individuals include:

• Titus Didius, Roman politician and general of the 1st century BC.
• Quintus Didius, Roman governor of the province Syria (31 BC to 29 BC).
• Aulus Didius Gallus, Roman general and politician of the 1st century BC.
• Aulus Didius Gallus Fabricius Veiento, politician of the 1st century BC.
• Lucius Didius Marinus, married Annia Cornificia Faustina Minor, a daughter of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius and Roman Empress Faustina the Younger.
• Quintus Petronius Didius Severus, father of the Roman Emperor Didius Julianus.
• Marcus Didius Severus Julianus or Didius Julianus, brief Roman Emperor in 193.
• Didius Proculus, a brother to Didius Julianus.
