Richard Edgar "Dick" Hanley (November 19, 1894 – December 16, 1970) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Northwestern University from 1927 to 1934, compiling a record of 36–26–4. This ranks him third at Northwestern in total wins and sixth at Northwestern in winning percentage.[1] In 1946, he coached the first three games of the season for the Chicago Rockets of the All-America Football Conference.
