Dibiyapur is an industrial town and a nagar panchayat in Auraiya district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
It is linked to Phaphund railway station on North Central Railway.
As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Dibiyapur had a population of 1 20,602. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Dibiyapur has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80% and, female literacy is 72%. In Dibiyapur, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Dibiyapur is a notable industrial town of Auraiya district which has installations of India's leading Public Sector Enterprises viz. 663 MW Combined cycle power plant of NTPC Ltd. (earlier National Thermal Power Corporation), Petrochemical plant and Gas compressor station of GAIL (earlier Gas Authority of India Limited). Petrochemical plant established here employs employees in thousands and live in GAIL Gaon, a small village specially for GAIL employees.
After establishing these plants couple of decades back, Dibiyapur turned from an unknown small town to what it is today. They have transformed the lifestyle, culture and socio-economic development of the local masses.
