Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram

Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram is an ecclesiastical Institution of Higher Learning established by the congregation for Catholic Education, Rome, as an independent institute empowered to grant degrees, including Doctorate in Philosophy and Theology. Located in Bengaluru, it is a pontifical atheneum  with degree-granting authority validated by the Vatican[1]. Evangeline Anderson Rajkumar taught gender issues to the students in this school.

Contents

History

Dharmaram Vidya Kshetram was established at Dharmaram College, the Central Study House of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate, the first indigenous religious congregation of India. The Study House which was originally founded in 1918 at Chethipuzha, Kerala was moved to Bangalore in 1957. By December 8, 1965, it became affiliated to the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.

Publications

Dharmaram Publications bring out books dealing with theological, scriptural and philosophical topics in Christian as well as non-Christian traditions.

Endowment Lecture Series

Dharmaram Endowment Lectures of the Faculty of Philosophy and Bishop Jonas Endowment Lectures of the Faculty of Theology are published annually.
