Dhandu

The Dhandu are a Seraiki speaking Jat clan, found in the Punjab procvince of Pakistan.[1]

History and origin

The Dhandu claim descent from the Panwar Rajputs. They claim descent from Dhandu, who is said to have been converted to Islam, by the famous Sufi saint, Sayyid Jalal of Uch.[2]

Distribution & Villages

They are found in the Cholistan desert, where mainy are cattle hearding nomads.
