Dhaid, or Al Dhaid, is the capital of the central district of the Emirate of Sharjah. It is a large agricultural town surrounded by fertile land. It is sixty kilometres from Sharjah and 100 kilometres from Fujairah.
The town has been boosted by the construction of the Al Dhaid Cricket Village, which has been built to host international cricket matches and to encourage the growth of the sport in the local area through the use of its seven Cricket pitches for local matches.
