Derek Warburton (born July 19, 1974) also known as Derek Fabulous, is an American fashion stylist best known for working with celebrities, fashion houses, and magazine editors. In 2010, Warburton cameoed on season three the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City.[1] He attended college at Fashion Institute of Technology, in New York, NY where he developed his keen fashion sense and honed his talent for styling.[2]
Early life
Born Derek Michael Warburton, Warburton was raised in Rochester, New Hampshire, and graduated from Nute High School. Warburton grew up homeless, his early childhood was unhappy and he frequently has discussed this openly to media. Before working as a stylist, Warburton worked at Atomic Funk as a co-partner.[3]
Career
Warburton attended New York's Fashion Institute of Technology where he developed his keen fashion sense and honed his talent for styling. As a fashion editor, correspondent, stylist and motivational speaker, Warburton applies the philosophy "Help, Teach, Inspire, Love and Have Fun" to all areas of his life. Warburton is an international stylist, dressing many transcontinental travelers from UK to Italy. Warburton quickly branched into the industry by being a co-partner of Miami's Atomic Funk.[4] In addition to his styling credentials, Warburton gained recognition for himself by becoming a fashion editor for various high-end lifestyle publications. Warburton was the guest host of Britain's Fashion Avenue, and Big Boutique on the Style Network, and as a fashion trend expert for Fox News.[5] Warburton was featured in The New York Times, InTouch, Fashion news Live, and The Insider.
