Deiodinase
Deiodinase (or iodide peroxidase or "Monodeiodinase") is a peroxidase enzyme that is involved in the activation or deactivation of thyroid hormones. In general, T4 (thyroxine) is converted into T3 (triiodothyronine) by the deiodinase enzyme in target cells.
