David Targamadze (born 22 August 1989) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ukrainian club FC Illichivets Mariupol on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Born in Tbilisi, Targamadze played youth football in Georgia with FC Sioni Bolnisi before moving to German side SC Freiburg in 2006. Targamadze made his senior debut for Freiburg on 17 May 2009, in a match against Rot-Weiss Oberhausen.[1] He made a total of 8 league appearances for Freiburg,[2] before signing for Ukrainian club PFC Oleksandria in the summer of 2010.
On 30 December 2011, Shaktar Donetsk officially announced Targamadze's capture on its official website.[3]
Targamadze also made three appearances for Georgia U21 in 2009.[4]
David is the brother of Irakli Targamadze, a fellow professional footballer.[4]
